The outgoing Art + Art History (AAH) site lacked inspiration and soul, which impacted their ability to attract top talent, both student and faculty, and affected alumni donations.
Coming full circle and giving back to the art program that gave me so much.
Do artists explore the web differently, and if so, does that impact how they digest content? That question was the main driver behind the project. In collaboration with design faculty, the AAH site was reimagined from the ground up. The goal was to inspire prospective visitors and showcase current work. A fine line needed to be walked between art and usability, because neither would work without the other, but too much of any one could ruin the experience.
